Brighter Futures

Supporting Children Through Education

At C2U Gosport CIC, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Our Brighter Futures for Kids Education Vouchers are a simple yet powerful way to support children in our community.

These vouchers help fund educational activities, resources, and experiences that make a real difference in young lives — from creative learning opportunities to wellbeing support and skill-building sessions.

🌟 Why It Matters

Many families are facing increasing financial pressures, and access to enrichment activities can often be out of reach. These vouchers help us:

  • Provide affordable or free educational activities

  • Support children’s mental wellbeing and confidence

  • Deliver creative and engaging learning opportunities

  • Ensure no child is left behind due to cost

🤝 Get Involved

You can support this initiative by:

  • Purchasing vouchers

  • Donating vouchers to families in need

  • Partnering with us as a local business

To find out more or get involved, pop into the hub or contact our team.

2025 at C2U Gosport cic

Message from C2U Gosport CIC – End of Year Reflection 2025

As 2025 draws to a close, we would like to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredibly busy, positive, and impactful year here at C2U Gosport CIC.

We began the year with wonderful news, receiving a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund. This support has enabled us to expand the services we provide and continue reaching those in our community who need us most.

We also want to give a huge thank you to Gosport Leisure Centre, Dancin Fit, and the many members of our local community who have donated and supported us throughout the year. Your generosity has been instrumental in everything we have achieved.

Every weekday from 8:30am, we open our doors to veterans, offering a warm brew and a welcoming space to meet, chat, and reconnect with others.

From 10am, our hub opens to the wider community with our Foodbank Table, where for a small donation people can select from essential food supplies we have sourced. Alongside this, our Helping Hands Food Pantry is also available daily from 10am.

This year has also seen the launch of several new and much-loved groups, including:

  • Dancin’ Fit

  • Diamond Art Group

  • Craft, Crochet, Knit & Natter

  • Recovery Connections

These sit alongside our valued ongoing wellbeing and support sessions, including Sean’s Safe Space, which continues to provide an important space for mental health support and connection.

One of the highlights of 2025 has been our Santa Experience, which received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback. Many families shared that they enjoyed a better experience here for just £1 than others costing considerably more. Creating inclusive, affordable, and meaningful experiences for local families remains at the heart of everything we do.

None of this would have been possible without the continued support of our community, volunteers, partners, and funders. We are especially grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for believing in our work and helping us make such a difference.

Looking ahead, we are excited to share that we have lots planned for 2026, and we can’t wait to continue growing, supporting, and connecting our community together.

From all of us at C2U Gosport CIC, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thank you for being part of our journey.

christmas at C2U

some data that shows what it takes to bring it all together

Over 5,475 children of all ages visited our Santa this year and received a special “On the Good List” certificate, a small gift, and their own personal photos to treasure forever.

We were also proud to run dedicated Additional Needs Santa evenings, creating a more comfortable and inclusive experience using Makaton, lower lighting, reduced sound levels, and of course plenty of festive fun – including our much-loved snowball throwing!

This year, Gosport Leisure Centre also launched a wonderful Just Giving Tree, supported through donations of toys, food, and essential items. Thanks to this incredible generosity, we were able to support:

  • 57 families with toys for Christmas Day

  • 47 food hampers for families in need

This was alongside the fantastic efforts of Dance Fit Seated Yoga, who raised over £375 through their raffle to support our pantry and provide gifts for additional needs children.

As we begin closing down the grotto area for 2025, we are already looking ahead and planning the Santa Experience 2026.

I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who put their heart and soul into five magical weeks of Christmas joy, including:

✨ Debbie (Chief Elf)
🎄 Kier (The Grinch)
🎅 Gary Walker (Santa 1)
🎅 John (Santa 2)
👋 Charlie and Carol (Meet & Greet Team)
🔧 Phil and Gaynor (Maintenance Team)
🎨 Fiona (Messy Play)

And a huge thank you to all our supporting schools and partners:

  • Lee-on-the-Solent Infant School

  • Brockhurst Junior School

  • Elson Infant School

  • Gomer Infant School

  • Asda

  • Co-op

  • Recovery Connections

…And so many more who helped make this season so special.

Thank you all for helping us create truly magical moments for our community. 💛🎄
